I am so honoured and grateful to have been able to photograph this beautiful soul, Lucy. I have always thought greyhounds are the most beautiful dogs, and Lucy is the first I’ve photographed. Today, her parents had to make a very difficult decision to let her go. Sometimes we have warning, sometimes we don’t, and it’s equally devastating losing such a big part of the family. Dogs are like an extension of ourselves - they are so much a part of our daily lives, they become a part of us, and when we have to say goodbye, the void that’s left is huge.
